HOW LONG DOES YOUR ALTERATION SERVICE TAKE?

Alterations generally take 4 to 6 weeks to be completed depending on your wedding date. If you need your dress sooner, then there is a $50 rush fee and we can complete within 2 week.

DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE AN ALTERATION CONSULTATION?

Alterations consultations are not necessary for most brides. Generally a consultation is needed for expecting brides or if a bride is planning extensive customizations. Also if a bride would like to have a more accurate estimate before the fitting she can schedule this consultation. There is a $30 charge for this appointment. 

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Cash, check, as well as all major credit cards are accept. Please note that if you choose to pay by credit card there will be a surcharge. Payment for alterations is due on the day of your first fitting.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

In order to fit you accurately, anything you plan to wear the day of you should also wear for your fitting. This includes, your bra, slip, and shoes, as well as any shape-wear you plan to wear. Alterations will be guaranteed to your measurements and undergarments/shoes worn the day of pinning.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A BRA?

If you would like to opt out of wearing a bra that is perfectly fine, the decision just needs to be made prior to pinning. We can discuss this at the time of fitting. If you would like to have bra cups sewn into your dress that is also an option.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I'M WORKING OUT OR TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT?

If you are trying to lose weight or tone up before an event, it is best to schedule your alterations as close to the event date as possible. Alterations are guaranteed to your body shape/measurements on the day of pinning. If your body changes drastically your dress will need to be altered again. Depending on the extent of the changes We may have to charge again to further alter the dress.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A CUSTOM DRESS TO BE MADE?

Having your wedding dress custom made is a long process. In order for Sarah to do it right she will need to start at least one year prior to the wedding. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. If you are not sure if you have enough time, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can see if we can work something out.

HOW MUCH DOES A CUSTOM DESIGNED DRESS COST?

Short answer— bespoke gowns typically start around $5,000.00. Long answer—The price of a custom designed dress can vary greatly depending on the design as well as fabric choice. In order to give you a better idea of the cost we recommend you give us a call or make an appointment for a free consultation. After the initial consultation if you choose to go forward with the process, there is an upfront non-refundable design fee due in order for sketching to begin. This fee is $500. This amount will go towards the final cost of the gown. Once a design is agreed upon, a fifty percent deposit is due in order for work on your dress to begin. The remainder is due after your sample is approved. If you would like, a payment plan can also be worked out to help offset the cost.
